It's crazy, really.
Everybody knows that stocks have historically been one of the best places to invest your money.
If you invested just $1,000 in Netflix ten years ago, your $1,000 investment would be worth over $51,000 now, but just how many people had the guts and patience to tenaciously hold onto their shares and not sell or jump in and out for the entire time?
Not many. Study after study have shown that Americans lack the patience to hold investments for more than a few years. The reality is that most investors cannot even consistently beat an index over long periods, so something's obviously not working.
Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of investors who are getting massive annualized gains of 50%, 75% or even 100%. But for every Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger and Carl Icahn out there, there are at least ten times as many retail investors who have lost more than half of their initial capital.
And we're not even talking about a lengthy holding period of ten years, either. The reality is not many people remain bag holders of good stocks that drop by 10%, 20% or 30% days, weeks or months after they bought it. Investors are too quick sell to prevent further losses, and they invariably miss out on the massive gains that usually follow. So they see this and put their money back into equities again (when prices are high), only to watch them peak and drop off in a market correction and sell them again (when prices are low). Talk about doing the exact opposite of what we're supposed to do!
Can the average investor get lucky every now and then?
Sure, but nobody gets lucky all the time in the market. Plus, random strokes of luck are dangerous as it's more likely to give you a false sense of confidence which usually leads to a fatal error around the corner!
It's frustrating. Buy and hold is the way to go, it's easy to say, but so hard to do consistently. Everywhere you look, gurus, analysts, wealth advisors and investment management services tell you to buy and hold, and you might even agree. But no one seems to be discussing just exactly how to hold when you're feeling annoyed, upset, nervous, stressed, scared, sleepless or worried that your stocks (in good companies) just fell by 20% overnight, costing you thousands of dollars, or more, on paper.
The Unusual Investors' Cheatsheet: The Essential Strategy Guide for Astonishing Long Term Returns is the simplest, most effective, and battle-tested guide that's specifically designed by Your Unusual Investment Advisor (that's me) to help you deal with the ongoing challenges that come with being a buy and hold investor.
It gives you a clear walk through of the exact two-step process that you can use whenever you are experiencing fear, uncertainty and worry.
If you wanted a successful long term portfolio and you could be anybody in the world, who would you be?
Too bad, my friend. The world isn't like Marvel's X-Men movies where we could instantly transform ourselves into somebody like Warren Buffett and instantly get his winning investor personality. BUT, The Unusual Investors' Cheatsheet is the closest thing to becoming like a world-class investor because it gives you highly distilled insights from the world's most successful investors and my original, 2-step process shows you exactly how to peruse the included insights.
Altogether, it's one 24-page concise downloadable PDF showing you exactly how to think about your investments so you can do what successful investors do. Inside, you'll find:
The "Holy Grail of Investor Knowledge": A distilled, extraordinary collection of over 70 of the most powerful insights by the world's greatest investors.
My simple, original, proven 2-step process that shows you exactly how to use the world-class investor insights to weather the volatility and uncertainty in your investing journey for astonishing long term returns.
A third, highly effective bonus step (on page 10) that can help you better manage your emotions during market turmoil.
And here's the most important thing you need to know...
That's right, buy and hold works. Just pick a good stock, buy whatever amount you are comfortable with, and hold onto it forever. People just tend to make long term investing harder than it has to be because they are emotional, they lack patience, and they don't handle uncertainty very well.
Of course, investor psychology and how to develop Nerves of SEAL are deep subjects and difficult to work on that are beyond the scope of this guide, but the good news is you may not even need to venture that far into your inner psyche to get good profits from your investments.
The Unusual Investors' Cheatsheet would be a low-risk investment of your time and resources to help you get a sense of my qualitative approach and see if it suits you. And this guide is a great place for us to start because it allows me to cover the fundamentals that every long term investor must know, introduce you to my proven process, give you a clearer idea of what areas you need to work on, and show you how we can help you grow as an investor during this potentially rewarding journey.
Anyway, the good news:
I'm not just giving you a bunch of random quotes that you can put together on your own in three month's time and a few hundreds of hours of research. You're getting over SEVENTY of the BEST insights by the world's greatest investors. This means that if an insight isn't absolutely worth its weight in gold, it didn't make the cut.
Odds are, only a few of the insights will matter to you in your specific situation. The others may not.
But here's the thing...
All you need is one. The right one to keep you thinking right.
Of course, you might be thinking...
If that's the way you feel, you're certainly not alone. There are a bazillion insights, quotes and investor books out there, and everybody knows how great investors like Warren Buffett think.
Knowing the “what” (the insights) is not enough. If it were, most people would be successful investors, instead of the other way around. In fact, I'd say that there's too much of the "same, usual" thing out there and not enough "Unusual" for aspiring Unusual Investors.
You see, everybody can rattle off Warren Buffett's quotes all day long. The main problem is that very few people are able to act like him at all times. This is why over half of all retail investors lose more than half of their initial capital over time.
So, insights are insights, but they're useless if you don't know when and how to use them in the crucial moments when you need them the most.
Well, how do you do that?
By following my original, systematic, disciplined 2-step approach. I personally used it during the wild rollercoaster ride in the November and December 2018 market sell off, and I know for a fact that it can help you stick to the road in the darkest hours of your investment journey, because that's what it did for me, and my gains as a result of following this process (when used in combination with my Nerves of SEAL and my transformation from "The OMG Moment" in my life) would have paid for this strategy guide more than 800 times over.
The process works, but it's not for the undisciplined, the unfocused, or the impatient. This strategy guide, and for that matter, everything else on my website, yields the best result when you put considerable effort, dedication, and time into it.
So I hope it's perfectly clear that you MUST follow this "Unusual" process exactly the way I teach, or else it's not going to work for you.
The question is... are you truly committed to this?
Because if you are 100% committed, I want you to have my process. Right now.
